Read the air your flower lives in.
Temperature and humidity set the vapor pressure your flower actually feels. Enter two values to see the full picture, then see why holding a steady water activity takes more than a humidistat.
Inputs
Dew point is calculated from your temperature and humidity.
Results
- Saturation vapor pressure (es)0.000 kPa
- Actual vapor pressure (ea)0.000 kPa
- Relative humidity0.0 %

Psychrometric snapshot
The curve is saturation vapor pressure across temperature. The dashed line is your actual vapor pressure. Markers show air temperature, dew point, and wet bulb.
Why 60°F and 60% RH won't hold 0.60 aW
Your humidistat reads one number. Your flower feels every swing behind it. As a room cycles temperature and humidity, the water activity your flower settles toward drifts out of the safe band, toward mold on the high side and lost weight and terpenes on the low side.
Cannatrol controls the vapor pressure itself and holds the chamber tight, so the flower sits at 0.60 aW and stays there, instead of chasing a humidistat around the room.
Book a walkthroughHumidity lookup table
Each cell is the relative humidity for that air temperature and dew point. Set a target to highlight the combinations that hit it. Your target is green, within 5 points is amber.
Uses Tetens saturation vapor pressure over water and the Stull 2011 wet-bulb approximation. The drift model above is illustrative, using your swing settings to show how a room cycles around a target. Figures are for reference.
